The digital guide works as an index, to have all the routes compiled with a common link and to be able to access them in a practical and simple way.
After more than 20 years exploring with passion the mountains of the province of Alicante, my curiosity, almost obsessive, has led me to discover places and itineraries that are somewhat off the beaten track.
Many years ago I discovered some peaks whose virginal beauty is only comparable to the inhospitable nature of their trails. Or mythical, evocative places, with toponyms that refer to those people who, with motivations radically different -or perhaps not so different- from ours, once entered the wildest corners of our mountains.
For a long time I have preferred not to share most of these excursions, which are both difficult and little known. I was mainly motivated by the desire not to alter these places.
Because experience has shown me that the presence of human beings, even if it is only for walking, usually causes a transformation in the natural spaces they visit.
That is why, in order to avoid the popularization of these routes that I now share, I do it in Digital Guide format, with a somewhat higher price than other guides. I trust that in this way, those who acquire it, will be aware of the importance of preserving these fragile and valuable places.
If someone were to ask me which are my favorite routes in the province of Alicante, undoubtedly many of them would be among those described in this digital guide.
